Give your train the best in sound by installing a compatible HiLine™ speaker with your HiLine™ sound system. This speaker is a high performer and has an excellent decibel rating for such a small size. This speaker is best suited for S gauge and larger trains.
Installation Instructions
Solder wires to the pads on the back of the speaker. For HiLine™ sound systems, use the wires from the two pin connector harness, designated for the speaker, to the pads. (Two pin connectors are included with all HiLine™ sound system but can also be purchased separately. See item #222 or #224)
Create an enclosure for the speaker. This is best done with thick cardboard or plastic. Typically a circular hole is cut from cardboard and the edges of the speaker are glued to the cardboard so that the
outside of the cone shows through the hole. Then the cardboard is cut to fit within the locomotive and glued in place.
Connect the two pin harness to the speaker output of the sound system. (See your sound system instructions as the ports vary between systems)
