The TUG BOAT / BOAT sound system can be powered from a battery, carrier control, radio control, fixed DC, or fixed AC. The TUG BOAT sound system is available in different configurations as shown in the table below. Item #623 contains a Fairbanks Morse Prime Mover (Diesel Engine) sound, as used in the Reading Co. and other tug boats. Item #687 has the deep throb of the EMD along with an appropriate single chime air horn. You may wish to add Item #672, our 22 watt amplifier, so that the low frequencies can be heard better in the larger outdoor space with the EMD prime mover. You can also add the amplifier to any of the other sound systems. Item #688 has the sound of a Steam powered Tug with an appropriate single chime air whistle with exhaust chuffs from the cylinders. All sound systems are coupled to the speed setting of the tug boat motor for automatic speed adjustments of the main sound, and include an appropriate boat Horn or Whistle. Since it can be wired to a radio receiver, it can be placed in any remote controlled seaworthy boat. The controller would have to provide a function output or a servo operated switch would be necessary to operate the Horn/Whistle and other appropriate options. |
